  gorby went for family reasons today, sunday, to the convention in switerbant, netherlands.. from the start it was clear, a fully media event.

  country, gospel and choir songs combined with socio emotional videos for tear teasing.

  Not worth the hassle unless there is a huge inheritance at stake. If your parents cant see their way past the cult bullshit propaganda to have a reasonable relationship with you without your having to jump thru bullshit cult hoops they arent really worth making any effort for.

  Using personal car for their "service"...car is getting worn out

  question: an individual (non-jw, let's say) loans a car to a jw family member, to drive for a year.

  car is intended to be used for basic transportation needs.

  the non-jw gets car back, only to find that it's basically been driven into the ground, racking up countless miles being used for d2d preaching, and shuttling other jws around.

  If you didnt make a contract that they agreed to you have no legal case at all. You have a moral case sure, but there is no pay out on those just a reason to bitch and moan at your loss for not making a contract.

  How do you find reddit

  just curious but how do the people off this forum find reddit.

  for myself i find reddit to be sadly lacking in the jw world.

  i just don't find the depth there e.g one sentence replies, trying to be funny.

  I find reddit excellent but it was confusing to start off with, the exjw subreddit is sometimes excellent and sometimes pathetic but that is the internet for you tbh. The swearing on there I find cathartic but can see how it would be off putting to some.

  The numbers on the exjw sub are growing very rapidly: http://redditmetrics.com/r/exjw and you will often see exjw posts on the main page or 2nd page of reddit which means plenty of non jws get to see the cult nonsense too.

  Really struggling to go on

  so, so much has happened in my life over the years and continues to happen, but i won't go into the details as it would take a long time.. i don't really know why, but i returned to "the truth" 15 years ago.

  in 2012 when the tv broadcasting station launched, i started to develop doubts.

  the australian royal commission and other scandals made me angrier, and i now don't believe most of the core teachings.. the only reason i show up at 5 or 6 meetings each month is to keep in contact with my parents and a few other family members.. but it's killing me, literally.

  Then dont. Stop going and live free from the cult bullshit that is poisoning your life. You can avoid DF and DA and just fade to maintain contact with family and you have the sadly perfect reason, depression.

  Killing yourself is a very permanent fix for temporary problems and dealing with the underlying causes of these feelings would be the way forward. If this is ongoing then seek professional help for it instead of suffering in isolation. Getting back some control over your life instead of being a passenger on an unwanted journey completely changes your outlook.
